On February 19, 2021, Gates returned with his 17th mixtape, Only the Generals, Pt. On May 31, 2019, Gates released his second EP, titled Only the Generals Gon Understand followed by “Push It” on June 28, 2019, the song which served as the lead single from his second album I’m Him. In May 2018, Gates released the three-song EP Chained to the City which served as his first release since being released from prison. Isah debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, and sold 93,000 copies in the US within the first week.It also stood at number 16 at the Canadian Albums Chart.
